Description

Poblano capsicum annuum peppers are mildly hot chili peppers (Scoville scale 100-1500 SHU), heart-shaped, relatively large 7-15 cm long and 5-7 cm wide, originating from the Puebla province of Mexico. The most famous dish where they star are the stuffed fresh roasted poblano peppers, chiles rellons poblanos. They are equally popular fried with and without batter, but also as ingredients in many sauces and moles. When dried, they are called chile ancho and are a widespread spice in many Mexican dishes.

Characteristics
